Here's To The Movies! - Prologue

Hello everyone! I have a new Sims story for you all, and to shake things up (and because I don't have an account on the Sims 3 site) I'm putting it up here! I hope you enjoy it; please feel free to comment. Oh, and sorry, no cover for this one. It is just a prologue and I don't really have the time at the moment, and I want to release this as soon as possible. I promise there will be covers after this.

Welcome to yet another legacy! As this is a prologue that covers, well, probably more than a prologue should, it will be more an overview and commentary than an actual story. I promise you they will get better with time/as I have more time, so bear with me and don't judge by how dry and dull this is. Not that it is. Hopefully not. But anyway.

Meet Guido. Guido Legasi. He is named after Guido Orefice from my favorite movie ever, Life is Beautiful (or La Vita E Bella - fantastic Italian movie and in my opinion only worth watching IN Italian, but SO depressing). He is based both off of his character and the man who plays him, Roberto Benigni. Roberto Benigni....ah, well if you don't know him...actually, he played Pinocchio in a live-action movie not too long ago, but if you don't know about that either than you should search Youtube for the episode of Graham Norton that he was on. AMAZING. Anyhow, his traits, using a combo of his character and the actor are: Brave, Good Sense of Humor, Excitable, Family Oriented, and Charismatic. He likes classical music, grilled salmon, and long walks on the beach...I mean the color red. And because he is hyperactive and wants to cause me even more stress than college alone can, his LTW (are they still called that in this one?...whatever) is to have 5 kids. Easy enough, but annoying as hell.

I didn't quite specifically follow the technical Legacy rules here, because I did move him into a house, but you know what? He still can't afford anything, so I don't see what difference it makes. So whatever. And I took this nasty shot because...well I don't really know. Probably because I was too lazy to try for an overhead view.
Way to go self. This is why you don't wait two or three weeks to write these things.

Thankfully, when I go to send Guido out to search for a woman, there is conveniently someone right across the street, Erin Kennedy. Who also conveniently happens to be single. Sometimes I think this game does these things on purpose. But in any case, she and Guido hit it off really well.

"Principessa, you have very beautiful eyes. I could stare at them forever and never would I feel the need to look away."
"Oh REALLY, Guido. We've only known each other for a little over two hours. I don't care if you are Italian; don't pull that on me yet."
"I only speak the truth."
"Well, thank you, I guess. But it's too soon for that."

"I'm just so worried...about everything. I was dropped here...almost out of the sky, but with no one to catch me. And now I have so little money and know no one, I have no wife, no relatives. I feel so very...alone. Normally I'm so calm about change..."
"It's okay, everything will be all right. Trust me. Everyone feels like that sometimes, even the bravest men. You just have to embrace it. Worrying about it will just drive you insane."
"...I suppose you're right. Thank you. Dio mio, I don't know why I'm so worried. Normally I'm much more brave about these things."
"It's okay. Everyone does things like this once in a while. Why don't you come inside for a bit? Relax."

And thus began a beautiful, rich, and long-lasting friendship. Well, as long-lasting as they are in this game with people who you have already betrothed to your founder and therefore planned more for. Guido came into Erin's house and did as she suggested: relaxed and joked around. She was glad that he was there, because there really hadn't been many people to talk to before he came along. They sat in her house, talking and watching bad TV until late in the night, until Guido decided that he better get back to his own house, especially since he had just moved in there but still hadn't spent all that much time in it yet.

He adjusted well to living life as a bachelor after a while, but he wasn't very fond of it. He wanted to have a family, wanted to be able to have kids to teach and watch grow up, to have a wife to grow old with. He hadn't even met anyone else other than Erin, and they were too good of friends for him to try to date her and then possibly end up getting pushed away. So he decided to go to the park, to see what kinds of other people there were in the town around him.

But to his dismay, he found no one worth courting at the park. It was a strange amalgamation of elementary school students, men, and creepy heiresses, and after a brief chess tournament, Guido decided it wasn't worth it, and he would come back and try again another day.

Later that night, he invited Erin over to talk about his adventure on the town and ask her if she had any suggestions. Once again, as they had done so many times before, they sat talking late into the night. But this time, it ended a little differently.

As Erin walked towards the door, Guido grabbed her arm. Perhaps it was the topic of their conversation that did it, perhaps he was tired, desperate, even, but he whirled her back round and kissed her. He stood there for a few seconds, stunned, before he realized that he had been in love with her this whole time. After a few minutes passed, Erin kissed him back. One thing led to another, and before they knew it they were waking up beside each other, now lovers instead of friends.

After that, they went on dates almost every night. They were the talk of the town, because they seemed so inseparable. And Guido was finally happy. He was able to put all of his worries behind him, because now he that he had stability in one part of his life, he was able to channel it into all other portions and have a much more optimistic view of life. Finally, after a couple months of dating, Guido found out that Erin was pregnant. He was absolutely thrilled when he heard this news, and decided that it was time to take their relationship to the next level.

And so begins Guido's legacy.

Wow...you can tell I wrote this in sections on different days. XD Oh well.
